Sidat.ID, – Monster Hunter Rise was originally released exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2021, until it finally made its way to PC, according to producer Ryozo Tsujimoto. He told IGN Japan in an interview that PC gamers could get Monster Hunter Rise on Steam sometime in early 2022.
“We received a lot of requests from Monster Hunter for the PC version, especially from foreign players, so we decided to develop a PC version that we will release soon in early 2022,” said Tsujimoto.
Regarding the question of whether the success of Monster Hunter World, which is the first Monster Hunter game to appear on PC other than MMO Monster Hunter Online, also influenced Capcom’s decision to port Rise, Tsujimoto confirmed.
“It’s part of it, but we always get a lot of fan demand for PC ports,” he said.
The task of the players in Monster Hunter Rise is quite simple. Become a monster hunter with all the weapons players have and defend the village from monsters.
Like other games, players are immediately evaluated for their patience and skills in playing the main character in the game when hunting monsters, collecting various powers, tracking prey, and surviving monster attacks.
The good news is that, for players who later want to play Monster Hunter Rise, it is not necessary to play Monster Hunter before, because each Monster Hunter has a different story.
Monster Hunter Rise is coming to PC, when?
Capcom has confirmed that it will soon release Monster Hunter Rise on Nintendo Switch. But curiously, this new game is expected to be present on other platforms, specifically on PC.
Proclaimed by IGN SEA, Ryozo Tsujimoto as the producer said that they prepared this Monster Hunter Rise to arrive on PC after its release on Nintendo Switch.
For information, Capcom has scheduled the release of Monster Hunter Rise on Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2021. And after that, the PC version of the game is prepared.
In an interview with IGN Japan, Ryozo Tsujimoto said that they are gearing up for the Monster Hunter PC game to launch soon in early 2022.
Growing up the PC version is due to the many requests from Monster Hunter players and fans. Especially from players outside of Japan who asked for the new game.
“We received many requests for the PC version of Monster Hunter Rise, especially from foreign players, we have decided to develop a PC version, which we will release soon in early 2022,” said Ryozo Tsujimoto.
However, this new Capcom game will not be released immediately after the release of the Nintendo Switch version. Because it is still in the early stages of development for the PC version.
“This is still in development, I would like to share more detailed information if the time is right.” he continued.
For information, Monster Hunter has started to be recognized by many players outside of Japan following the success of Monster Hunter World 2018. It reaches various platforms, including PC.
According to IGN, Monster Hunter World has sold more than 16.8 million copies. And the Iceborn expansion got a lot of players, reaching 7.2 million copies.
It’s no wonder Monster Hunter Rise is getting a lot of requests for it to be released outside of the Nintendo Switch. In fact, this new game was designed for Nintendo’s handheld game console.
“We took into account the characteristics of the Nintendo Switch, which can be used as a handheld device, and with that we focused on hunting at a higher rate than ever.” Ryozo Tsujimoto said.
It is not yet known what this Monster Hunter Rise PC game will be like. But it’s certainly interesting to see Capcom switch from Nintendo Switch to PC.***
